Testimonial

We've now had 5 transactions with Shannon and find her to be professional and thorough. She is not afraid to have the tough conversations that it takes to get things done. We value her opinion and it has come to serve us well. Her years of experience in the Austin market have helped us a great deal in both purchasing and selling our homes... not to mention she's witty as hell. We highly recommend Shannon! About Leander

Leander was originally founded as “Bagdad” in 1882 by settlers who had to fight off frequent Indian attacks before the Texas Rangers were eventually called in for protection. Since those early years, Leander has grown and prospered as a gateway community to the Texas Hill Country. Just five miles north of Austin on Highway 183, Leander combines easy access to the city with the feel of a rural – through quickly growing -- Texas town.

Population

Like most of Central Texas, Leander has experienced rapid growth in recent years. Population currently stands at about 20,000. The median resident age is 30.2 years and median household income is just over $53,000.

The Leander Independent School District has grown into the largest school district in Willliamson County and the fastest growing district in the state of Texas.

Schools

Leander students attend one of 25 Leander ISD campuses. The district is the largest in Williamson County and the fastest growing in the state. Leander ISD serves nearly 22,000 students across 25 campuses, with three more campuses under construction for fall 2006 openings. The district has 15 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 3 high schools and 2 alternative schools. It encompasses the cities of Leander, Cedar Park, Jonestown, and parts of Northwest Austin.

Live in Leander

Leander combines the best of city living, with the ambience of a smaller town. Housing options range from master-planned family communities with parks, ball fields and pools, to golf-course living, condos and townhomes, and luxury estate homes on acreage tracts. The median home price was approximately $100,000.
