About Cedar Park Located just 17 miles from downtown Austin, Cedar Park offers big-city amenities in a family-oriented, relaxed lifestyle. Residents enjoy easy access to Lake Travis, which can be accessed at several parks within five to ten miles from the city. Major Employers Advance Drywall Schools The Leander ISD is the largest school district in Williamson County, and the fastest growing in the state. It serves nearly 22,000 students from Cedar Park, Leander, Jonestown and parts of northwest Austin. Leander ISD includes 25 campuses, with three more campuses under construction for fall 2006 openings. The district has 15 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 3 high schools and 2 alternative schools.
